PG diploma course is a 1 year course offered by high colleges.it is a training program conducted in the workplace. Students are required to work in an emergency department for 12 months. Candidates have to work under the supervision of an approved ACEM supervisor. During the course, candidates have to spend 6 months in an anesthetics term or 3 months in anesthetics and 3 months in ICU.

There are two types of admission processes for the course i.e entrance exam and merit based.
